Clucking Blossom VI Booth Sign-up

    We always try to cater to local organizations and ideas by having booths at Clucking Blossom. We've had various degrees of luck at getting lots of booths up. But our one constant result has been the more booths we have had the better everything seemed to flow at the festival.

    So if you have something you'd like to present at CB, throw your name and contact info at us so we can get you accounted for. Also if you know of someone that you think would like to have a booth. Tell them about it and they can come on here or e-mail me at:

    Dear Administrator,

    We are a group of concerned UAF students, non-students, Alaskans and non-Alaskans, staff, faculty, and Fairbanks residents who want to expose the human rights, environmental, corporate corruption, and labor violations committed by Rio Tinto, the second largest mining company in the world. Its CEO, Tom Albanese, has been chosen to be the keynote speaker at the UAF graduation ceremony on May 16, 2010. He is also a UAF alum. We want him to know that Alaskans don't tolerate such actions.

    Is it possible for us to set up a booth at Clucking Blossom this year? We will have a banner that reads "TELL TOM" where interested people can write a message to Tom Albanese or sign their name. We will then use that banner for our protest on the day of graduation from 11:30am to 1:30pm on the sidewalk in front of the Carlson Center where the ceremony will be held. All of this is legal and non-violent. Our goal is to raise awareness. Clucking Blossom would be a wonderful opportunity to tell people about the protest.
