Mewithoutyou in Fairbanks:April 3rd
The indie connoisseurs Mewithoutyou are to play at UAF’s Wood Center Ballroom on April 3rd.
The band initially made a name for itself based off it’s aggressive approach to the Indie genre. A few albums later and we find Mewithoutyou still holding onto their own mix of Indie, but in place of outright anger and pure energy the band has placed strong folk elements into their music. The combination of both genres is a true sign of a band set to evolved and progress throughout the years to come.
Two local acts, yet to be named, will open for the boys.

Our goal here is to keep the people/communities of Fairbanks, Alaska informed and connected. We focus our energy upon the music scene here in town, but anything of the arts (plays, operas, big bands, improv comedy, poetry, etc.) we are more than happy to include.

Halloween Great Cover-Up
Howdy dowdy everyone.
There’s to be an All-Ages cover this year! It seemed to myself that NOT having an All-Ages cover-up was rather sacrilegious, thus ? Records & the UAF Concert Board will be putting on this year’s event at the Wood Center Ballroom on campus.
As always, all proceeds go to the Literacy Council of Alaska.

Updating Word Press

Ok, you’ve got two options here. If you’ll direct your attention to the sidebar on the right, the next five shows we have on our calendar are hanging out. If you click on the CALENDAR link up top, you can see all of the shows we have on the calendar.

You can submit a show in a couple of ways. There’s a submit a show link at the top. Just put your information in our handy form and we’ll get it on the calendar as soon as we can. There’s also our forum: go there, make an account (you should probably just do that regardless), and make a thread about it in the Concert Discussion forum. This has the advantage of letting people talk about the event and get yourself a little extra publicity, which never hurts, right?

Take a gander at our forum link up there. Maybe you should click it? I’m not here to tell you what to do. It’s still a bouncing baby forum, so if it acts a fool just bear with us. It’s so young and we’ve yet to teach it any manners.
